There's probably differences in the jacket design between those two, but the old Hi-Shok has a regular brass case and I believe the HSTs have always been nickel-plated. HST’s generally have nickel-plating, but there are some out there that are just brass.

Funny story, I ordered some 147 grain HST from Gander Mountain and they sent me Hydra-Shok instead, same bullet weight, still standard pressure, same number of rounds.
